Shuffle Board: Balenciaga Alum Heads Ganni, Elevate Textiles Names CEO

Progressive luxury Danish brand Ganni announced that Laura du Rusquec, formerly deputy CEO at Balenciaga, will assume the role of chief executive officer. She brings to Ganni a rich history in luxury fashion management, having held influential positions at renowned brands and groups such as Gucci, Balenciaga, and Kering. du Rusquec will be based out of the Ganni office in Paris, maintaining close operational ties with the brand’s headquarters in Copenhagen.

Andrea Baldo, who has led Ganni as CEO for the past five years, will officially step down from his role and duties. Under his leadership, the brand achieved years of annual double-digit growth and expanded its retail presence while diversifying product offerings and enhancing its commitment to responsible business practices.

Deckers Brands

Hoka’s parent company, Deckers Brands, announced the promotion of Marco Ellerker to the newly created role of president of global marketplace, effective Aug. 1. Ellerker has served in various operational roles at Deckers since 2017, most recently as SVP and general manager of EMEA, Japan and distributors Asia Pacific. In his new role, Ellerker will oversee the omni-channel teams for all brands globally. He will become a member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to Stefano Caroti, incoming chief executive officer and president of Deckers Brands.

Boralevi previously led marketing and communication efforts for luxury groups in different sectors, including Dom Pérignon (LVMH) and Panerai (Richemont Group).

AMSilk

AMSilk, the world’s first industrial supplier of vegan silk biopolymers, announced the appointments of Ralph Fraundorfer and Ctibor Kohutovic to its management board. Fraundorfer has been appointed as chief financial officer (CFO) and will lead the finance team, with responsibility for all financial issues, such as company accounts, financing and risk management. He succeeds Arne Treinies as CFO, who left the company to pursue other opportunities.

Kohutovic joins as chief production officer (CPO), with responsibility for driving AMSilk’s industrial scale up as it moves into the commercialization phase. Ctibor will focus on the Company’s global protein production, developing production capacities with new and existing CMOs, improving capabilities and reducing costs.
