The Minister of Local Government, Rural Development, and Cooperatives, Tazul Islam, highlighted Malaysia as a promising destination for higher education due to its strong bilateral ties with Bangladesh. Speaking at the inauguration of the "Study in Malaysia" education fair held at Sheraton Hotel Banani in the capital, Minister Tajul emphasized the cultural and religious similarities between the two nations.

Organized by Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), the fair aims to showcase the educational opportunities available in Malaysia to Bangladeshi students. Minister Tajul personally visited various stalls at the fair, enquiring about the facilities provided by Malaysian universities to Bangladeshi students.

The fair, titled "In Malaysia-Education Fair in Bangladesh-2024," commenced in Dhaka and will run until April 27, open to visitors from 10 am to 6 pm daily. Additionally, similar events will be held at Peninsula Hotel in Chittagong on April 29 and Rose View Hotel in Sylhet on May 1.

Participating Malaysian universities, including Sunway University, UCSI University, APU, Nilai University, and ALM, are offering attractive discounts and incentives to prospective Bangladeshi students.

The fair provides an excellent platform for Bangladeshi students to explore study options, interact with representatives from Malaysian universities, and avail themselves of exclusive offers to pursue higher education in Malaysia. With its proximity, cultural affinity, and academic excellence, Malaysia emerges as a promising destination for Bangladeshi students seeking quality education abroad.
