The congress, set to take place on Nov 14th and 15th in Iselin, New Jersey, has attracted an audience of high level industry leaders and government bodies following a recent United Nations General Assembly on antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

As well as presenting on antimicrobial combination therapy, Dr Weiss will also be leading a pre-conference interactive workshop taking place on Nov 16th.

With a focus on the use of animal models in pre-clinical drug development, the session will provide attendees with an in-depth discussion on the transition from vitro activity to in vivo efficacy, explore animal model choices for proof of concept studies, and provide examples of relevant animal models with supportive data and interpretation of results as it relates to the clinical condition.

Dr Bill Weiss has over 33 years of experience in infectious disease research and has worked on numerous antibacterial programs leading the discovery and development of new antimicrobial agents.
His expertise encompasses the development and evaluation of animal models of infectious disease as well as pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic analysis.
