US Army's Redstone Arsenal Collaborate with SunPower to Go Solar
May 2016 - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, AL and SunPower have agreed to build a 66 acre on-site solar project. The project will generate about 18,000 megawatt hours of solar energy annually. Redstone Arsenal will purchase the generated electricity under a 27-year power purchase agreement at a price equal to or less than current utility rate. The project will be operational by December 2016.
