EU funding for a better access to long-term care

SLOVENIA, August 12 - As part of this EU-funded project, the Social Protection Institute of the Republic of Slovenia will upgrade the relevant IT systems to ensure that efficient recording, storing and sharing of information is in place for providers of long-term care services and providers of social protection services. It will also set up a uniform database that will enable efficient collection and sharing of information between different IT systems to optimise work processes in the relevant organisations. The project is also expected to make it easier for beneficiaries to exercise their right to social protection and apply for long-term care.     

The project will be implemented under priority Long-term care and health, and social inclusion of Slovenia's EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027. It will pursue specific objective Enhancing the equal and timely access to quality, sustainable and affordable services, including services that promote the access to housing and person-centred care including healthcare; modernising social protection systems, including promoting access to social protection, with a particular focus on children and disadvantaged groups; improving accessibility including for persons with disabilities, effectiveness and resilience of healthcare systems and long-term care services.

The project is worth a total of 2,129,917.34 euros. It will receive support from the European Social Fund Plus amounting to over 1.3 million euros, more specifically 1,331,198.34 euros.
